Nichume Siwundla's death came as a major shock to the public, but not her family. Unlike most suicides, Nichume’s family knew exactly why their loved one took her life.
Depression is a big thing all over the world and we have recently seen just how rife it is among Mzansi celebs. Mzansi never knew that HHP’s passing was only the start.
Briefly.co.za learnt that Mobi Dixon is being labelled as the main contributor to Nichume’s suicide. The record label owner and collab partner apparently put a lot of stress on the young artist, and Nicgume’s family were not happy about it.
According to reports made by Advocate Barry Roux, the family stated that Mobi failed to register Nichume at SAMRO for royalties, and this put a lot of financial stress on her even though her tracks were topping charts.
Nichume was apparently battling to make ends meet. Her family highlighted that Nichume was a qualified ophthalmologist and had a stable job before Mobi told her to drop it and focus on her music career.
Top Chap Media, which is owned by Mobi, has clapped back and slammed the accusations.
