You know those romantic comedies where the clumsy girl bumps into the handsome boy and their eyes lock just long enough for them to fall in love and live happily ever after? Well, that's not how it goes in real life.

In fact, some people's love stories are far from those written about in books. Take social media user sixthformpoet as an example.

The poet, who writes under the alias sixthformpoet, took to social media to share the bizarre story on how he met the love of his life - and it all started with a death.

Sixthformpoet revealed he, his mother and grandparents would often take flowers to his father's grave and that's when he spotted a guy's tombstone next to his dad's.

He revealed the tombstone never got flowers and felt sorry for the guy, so he decided to start buying flowers for him as well.

Sixthformpoet decided to locate their graves and buy them flowers. He drove to the cemetery and as he was busy mumbling apologies, a woman appeared behind him.

"She wanted to know who I was and why I was leaving flowers for her aunt and grandparents. AWKWARD," he wrote.
