He called on motorists to be very careful on the road over the long weekend, as well as sent his condolences to the family of a truck driver who passed away after his truck was hit with a petrol bomb.
Mbalula's appeal to be careful comes after a recent collision claimed the lives of 2 people and left 81 injured, as reported by TimesLIVE.
Briefly.co.za gathered the Minister also reached out to the loved ones of Bernard Groenewald, the truck driver who passed away after his injuries were too much for him.
Bernard was injured when his truck was petrol bombed earlier in June in the Western Cape.
