A video has gone viral via social media as it shows how an investment scheme boss received a personal police escort.

It is alleged that the incident took place in Ladysmith and shows a luxury BMW driving and being closely followed by police vehicles.

Twitter user, Yusuf Abramjee (@abramjee), shared the video and asked SAPS to account for what took place.

The tweet caused a stir as many South Africans demanded answers as well.

As a result of the footage, many also expressed their concerns regarding certain cops.

Briefly.co.za noted that some leapt to the defence of the SAPS as they explained that it’s a service available to all citizens.

However, some tweeps cautioned that it came at a heavy price.
