South Africans once again proved Ubuntu is alive and thriving in our beautiful rainbow nation country. A woman took to social media to ask Mzansi's help and she received more than she expected.
On Sunday, a woman, who has been identified as Thabisa Xhelithole, took to social media to call on South Africans' help to buy electricity.
Xhelithole only asked for R10 worth of electricity and she could not have expected Mzansi to open their hearts and wallets like they have.
"Can anyone buy me R10 electricity please," she pleaded on Twitter.
To prove that she needed electricity, Xhelithole posted a snap of her meter which clearly showed that there was zero units loaded.
However, not even an hour after her plea for help Xhelithole shared another photo and it immediately warmed our hearts.
"Thank you very much everyone. May God bless you. I have received more than twice fold of what I asked for," she captioned a photo of a metering unit that now had 233.19 units on.
Briefly.co.za gathered the post warmed social media users' hearts and they were proud to be citizens of a country were people look out for each other.
