The wife allegedly showed up to the police station where her husband was in the middle of filing a report detailing the abuse he suffered at her hands.

According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson, Const Justice Ramaube, the following moment his bakkie was up in flames.

“The couple apparently had an argument at home before the husband decided that they both go to the police station to seek help,” said Ramaube.

Ramaube said an investigation has been launched into the incident and the woman had been detained.

He added their team was able to extinguish the fire before it spread to other cars but the husband's bakkie was beyond saving.

“Unfortunately it was a bit late – as the complainant’s vehicle had already been completely damaged by the fire,” said Ramaube.
