- Social media users commended McKenzie and enjoyed his heart-warming family photos
Briefly.co.za previously reported on the friendship between the EFF’s Julius Malema and Gayton McKenzie of the Patriotic Alliance (PA) and how things took a turn for the worse.
On this occasion, McKenzie was on the defensive as his daughter questioned his actions following recent social media activity.
McKenzie shared a touching tweet which lauded his 9-year-old son for captaining his soccer side to glory in a soccer tournament.
According to the proud dad, it was the best Father’s Day gift. However, his daughter, Kenya, was not impressed.
McKenzie quickly followed up his initial tweet with a special message in honour of his daughter.
He revealed that she reminded him of her exploits over the weekend as well after she took gold at a recent gymnastics event.
Tweeps were touched as the former gangster showed off his softer side with his family.
The Mckenzie family received many compliments, but dad was warned never to repeat the same mistake.
