Funky video of teacher dancing with pupils at school goes viral

There’s been a recent spike in the number of school videos that’s gone viral and many of them for the wrong reasons.

Briefly.co.za therefore appreciated a light-hearted one, which was trending for all the right reasons.

Laerskool Vryburg in the North West was trending on social media as a video emerged, which showed off the dancing skills of one of its teachers and a group of learners.

Ammiel Smith is the teacher seen dancing with the students as the group had fun on the last day of term.

The video has already attracted more than 500 000 views on school's Facebook page:

Smith, a former pupil at the school, said: "I think it's very important to celebrate our differences. The children enjoy dancing and I believe it's a positive way to get them to enjoy themselves.

Smith added that the learners are even more excited now that the video has gone viral and made them feel like celebrities.

Briefly.co.za gathered that a number of highlights stood out from the video.

South Africans seem to be loving the little girl on the left of the video and some even labelled her the next Nicky Minaj.

Others were drawn to the boy who pops his head out of a dustbin.

Smith is no stranger to the news as he trended in 2015 for holding a light-hearted placard on a street corner seeking his dream woman.
