Mzansi reacts to woman torching her ex's bakkie at police station

Briefly.co.za shared the story of the woman who burnt her husband’s bakkie in front of a police station on Sunday. There’s been an update on the story and we now share the feedback from South Africans.

Briefly.co.za previously reported about a woman who was arrested and charged with malicious damage to property after she allegedly torched her husband's bakkie outside a police station.

The incident took place on Sunday outside the Boksburg North police station.

An update has since been provided that the woman is indeed the man’s ex-wife.

The fire was eventually extinguished by police officers, but the bakkie could not be salvaged.

Briefly.co.za noted the reaction via social media and South Africans stood behind the male victim.

Zanele Misszannybaby Mboniswa said, “She is crazy this one... She must be sent for 72hour evaluation.”
Clive Given said, “She must be arrested.”
Mpumelelo Dingela commented, “Man abuse at the highest level no fear of the police and hazard to public and still nothing is taken seriously.”
Kennedy Jonasi added, “That is violence against men. Action must be taken.”
PS Modombie said, “If it was a man the whole country will be up in arms the army helicopters police force and Bheki Cele analysing the matter.”
