The State of the Nation Address has had it's first casualty! The DA's Natasha Mazzone. Mazzone says that the nominees for Parliamentary committee chairs is a slap in the face for President Cyril Ramaphosa.
The Democratic Alliance's Natasha Mazzone means business tonight, lashing out at those chosen as nominees for Parliamentary committee chairs.
Mazzone claims that the questionable individuals chosen is a slap in the face for Ramaphosa and his 'New Dawn':
“It’s very difficult for the president to keep it all together because he’s surrounded by people who don’t want to see South Africa succeed. It’s a slap in the face that so many people implicated in state capture have been chosen as committee chairpersons.”
Briefly.co.za reported earlier that Supra Mahumapelo, Faith Muthambi and Bongani Bongo had been earmarked for the position despite their dodgy histories.
Mazzone hopes that Ramaphosa touches on the situation at embattled Eskom as well as the unemployment crisis in South Africa.
