Mzansi applauded EFF leader Julius Malema for the way he handled shade from journalist, Samekelo Maseko, during the SONA interview on Thursday.
A segment of Maseko's interview with Juju has been circulating on social media and Mzansi was not impressed with the journo throwing shade at the EFF leader.
Maseko brought up Justice Minister Ronald Lamola’s fashion choice, referring to his Louis Vuitton shoes.
Briefly.co.za gathered Maseko told Juju he inspired Lamola, who is now also wearing the expensive designer shoes - which Juju himself rocked previously despite urging South Africans to support local businesses.
However, Juju laughed off Maseko's remarks and said they should focus on Lamola's brains, not his feet.
The EFF leader was applauded for how he reacted to Maseko's statement and social media users went on to slam the journalist - some even dubbed him the Mabena of the media.
Social media user @ERalethole commented: "This's Mabena of the media, I know he can't disappoint #samkelo."
Another tweep, @MogomotsiLebot2, added: "What nonsense is this Samkelo asking? On national TV nogal? Was that all he can think about? Juju handled him expertly, showed up for the empty bubble sitting on his neck. Nxaa...."
Godfrey Albertyn, who goes by the Twitter handle @galbertyn, added: "Exactly. As long as Lamola isn't stealing the money to buy his LV shoes I don't care. Let him spend his salary as he sees fit."
