Good Samaritans braved the cold to offer food to homeless people in Johannesburg on Thursday night.
Last night, One SMALL Act of Kindness took to social media to share how volunteers offer up their time and warm beds to do good to the less fortunate.
"Tonight we got to drink tea while chatting about the week and alert 7 of the guys that there is a job opportunity for them. So a lot of excitement. A delicious warm hearty stew with rice, rolls and tea - Definitely needed as the nights are now freezing," part of the post read.
Briefly.co.za gathered the charity is able to feed the homeless with the help of restaurant AJ's In The Park and volunteers who braved the cold.
Every Thursday night they feed the homeless and last week they managed to hand out 197 blankets - 67 of which were supplied by 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela Day.
According to the social media post, Mzansi donated R8 000 towards their blanket drive.
"YOU all did this. YOU all made this possible. When we started a Back a Buddy account we didn't expect to raise over R8 000 towards our blanket drive. YOU did that! Thank you from every soul you warmed last night," the post read.
