Msila’s trip took a turn for the worse as he and travel buddy, Alvin Zhakata, were stuck on the border of Ethiopia and Kenya for a number of days due to visa affordability issues.
Msila pleaded for assistance from Sports Minister Nathi Mthethwa to intervene.
The crisis was eventually averted as sports presenter, Robert Marawa, played a hand in arranging a flight for Msila from Kenya into Cairo, Egypt.
TimesLIVE reported on Msila’s social media post where he confirmed his arrival and expressed immense gratitude from everyone who assisted.
He heaped praise on Marawa for going the extra mile and commended the government as well.
