Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly signing Real Zaragoza wonder-kid Mateo Mejia in a deal worth £600,000 transfer fee.

The 16-year-old winger will be heading to Old Trafford after the Red Devils beat off rival bids from clubs in England and Spain according to UK Sun.

But Mateo Mejia will first have to exhibit his talents in Manchester United Youths team before he can be given likely consideration into the main team.

United boss Solskjaer is hoping to add a number of young and talented stars to his squad as part of the long-term rebuilding process.

The Norwegian has been linked with number of big players this summer in his efforts to bolster his squad for next season.

Solkjaer wants to build a strong team after a disappointing sixth-place finish in the Premier League last season.

United fans were also furious with the team's inability to win any title at the 2018/19 Premier League season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United will begin their campaign in the 2019/20 Premier League season with a game against Chelsea.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Manchester United stars reportedly told the club to allow France international Paul Pogba to leave the club this summer after being linked with Real Madrid and Juventus.

United players believe it would be best for Pogba to go this summer to avoid continued distractions caused by his unhappiness.

Pogba was reported to have phoned new Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri asking to take him back to the club he left three years ago according to the report on UK Sun.
