On Monday, it was reported that a waitress received a whopping R18 000 tip from a kind patron who believed in her and the news sparked quite the reaction online.

Previously, Briefly.co.za reported that a kind patron left an R18 000 tip for a waitress because she believed in her.

The waitress, Ayanda, plans on using the money to finish matric before pursuing her dream of becoming a paramedic.

"I left it for you because I believe in you, I want you to succeed," the patron said to Ayanda.
