South Africans were left with mixed reactions over a video which showed protestors destroying a road between Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom.
A video started circulating on social media which showed protesters taking 'destroying property' to the next level.
The video, which was shared on Twitter by Yusuf Abramjee on Wednesday, showed protestors using an excavator to destroy a tar road in the North West Province.
"VIDEO: Protestors destroy road at Sarafina entrance next to N12 yesterday afternoon. They hijacked an excavator and started to break up the road between Klerksdorp and Potchefstroom," Abramjee captioned the video.
The video sparked quite the reaction and Briefly.co.za decided to take a look at some of the comments.
Twitter user, @_moghel_, commented: "Next thing they will be striking again, wanting the same road to be fixed by the government."
Kamogelo Mabuse, whoe goes by the Twitter handle @Kamogelo_Mabuse, wrote: "Very disappointing to see such. Destroying a tar road. Completely irresponsible.. The leaders of that march must be Arrested, including the person driving that Excavator."
Ndavhe Ramakuela, @ndavher, added: "Our minds need a great deal of liberation, this can't be normal thinking, redressing the gains by destroying the very infrastructure that is supposed to bring development. With this attitude we shall never win Africans. Call Biko please."
