He may not be a name many South African soccer lovers remember, but Serge “Jehova” Djiehoua certainly made his presence felt.

Kaizer Chiefs introduced the powerful attacker during the 2005/ 2006 campaign and many were impressed by his physical presence.

Some supporters felt he had the physique of a bodybuilder or bouncer, but he failed to match the expectations.

Djiehoua played during a time when the Glamour Boys were blessed with an abundance of midfield talent.

The likes of Thabo Mooki, Arthur Zwane and Emmanuel Ngobese often pulled the strings and created many chances, but Djiehoua still boasted a modest goal return.

Ironically, most Amakhosi supporters remember him more for being on the receiving end of a crunching tackle by Andrew “Jaws of Life” Rabutla, which threatened to end his career.

Chiefs eventually sent the forward to Thanda Royal Zulu, before he made a move to the Turkish League.

Daily Sun reported on Djiehoua’s record of attracting a red card in the fastest time.

According to their report, it took him only 3 seconds of being on the pitch, but Briefly.co.za understands it actually took him 7 seconds.
