Former South African President, Nelson Mandela, was a global icon and much more than a politician.

A national hero who earned international acclaim for his fight against apartheid as well as the sense of humanity he displayed once in power.

It stands to reason that someone with such legendary status would have said some great things.

With this in mind, Briefly.co.za asked our readers to share some of Madiba’s most memorable quotes.

We issued the digital challenge via Facebook on Thursday and social media users weren’t shy as they helped us reminisce on some Madiba magic.
