- Patrons at Tyger Valley Centre were treated to a surprise flash mob while taking a break from shopping
- The dancing was not the main surprise though as a creative boyfriend masterminded the stunt to propose to his unsuspecting girlfriend
- Fellow shoppers enjoyed the beautiful moment as the man went down on bended knee and his girlfriend said yes
Patrons at Tyger Valley Centre in Cape Town were either having a lunch break at Café Bagaso or strolling in the vicinity when they were treated to a surprise flash mob.
The group of dancers entertained the small crowd with a beautifully choreographed routine.
However, that was just a taster for what was to come as a creative and thoughtful man used the group of dancers to his advantage.
It later emerged that he requested the services of Phoenix Dance Company to catch his girlfriend off-guard with a surprise marriage proposal.
Tyger Valley Centre shared the video via their Facebook page and it’s already gone viral.
The footage shows the dancers grooving for a few minutes until the boyfriend emerges.
His unsuspecting girlfriend was watching everything unfold and he then approaches her and goes down on bended knee.
To everyone’s relief, the young lady said yes and the two are now engaged.
Phoenix Dance Company’s Julia Pretorius explained: "This was something I never thought I would get the opportunity to partake in and to help make the day special for someone else was amazing! Thank you Phoenix family! We did it despite the stresses and nerves and we did it in style."
