Mohamed Salah did not know he was a huge admirer of some DR Congo players as they had a post-game selfie with the Egyptian striker.
The 26-year-old opened his account in the AFCON tournament with a sublime goal and assisted another as the Pharaoh's won by 2-0.
But players on the losing side were excited and did not go back into the dressing room without meeting the Champions League winner.
Salah was seen posing for a photo with a group of DR Congo players after the final whistle at the Cairo International Stadium.
He then applauded fans who supported the team after they booked their place in the round of 16.
Before Egypt's with DR Congo game, the team were rocked with off-the-pitch troubles as striker Amr Warda was sent home out of their squad after he was accused of harassing a number of women.
