A recently-shared video featuring clips of South Africa’s pothole-filled roads had many of Mzansi’s social media users up in arms.
The video was shared on Facebook by South Africa LIVE, with the following caption:
“Dodge a pothole - South Africa's favourite game!!”
Briefly.co.za saw that many social media users found the clips familiar and shared their own experiences of pock-marked roads.
Hazel Fisher: “Freestate is soo bad I had the displeasure of dodging those two weeks in a row ”
Sakhele Ntaba: “These are nothing. Wait til you go to Mthatha where cars keep disappearing momentarily”
Gabriel De Andrade: “Anybody tried driving through Standerton lately? Looks like a movie set for a war movie set in Syria.”
A couple commenters were able to put a positive spin on the situation, appreciating how far Mzansi has come.
