The vehicle was seemingly parked in a strange position off the edge of a kerb and lacked the power to be driven out.
A large truck is called upon to tow the bakkie, but the attempt has disastrous consequences.
A large chunk of the vehicle is destroyed due to the botched towing attempt as the rear wheels and axel are completely removed.
South Africa Live shared the video via Facebook on Monday and has already been viewed 93 000 times.
Briefly.co.za noted the side-splitting reaction from some of the social media users as many were left in disbelief.
