South Africans were left stunned over how much one should earn to be able to afford a certain type of car and their reactions were hilarious.
On Tuesday, Entrepreneur Zone took to social media to share a table of how much a person should earn monthly to buy a certain type of car.
According to the post, the list was calculated on the assumption that the cars are financed over five years at an interest rate of prime plus two percent. The cars ranged from a R3.5 million Maserati GranCabrio Sport Special Edition to a Geely MK2, which is priced at R99 000.
The list, which is provided by FNB, claims you need to earn R396 000 monthly to buy the Maserati and R12 000 to afford the Geely.
Briefly.co.za gathered the post sparked quite the reaction and South Africans' comments were hilarious.
Avhaathuamba Mangale, who goes by the Twitter handle @de_black_jew, commented: "At #FNB Stop playing with our minds life is too short for me to drive Etios wena @Toyota I believe you designed Etios for students."
Twitter user @KgapzSonopo wrote: "I guess my on my salary I can only afford a skateboard."
