A woman has taken to social media to post a video of a bus driver's reckless behaviour and it sparked quite the reaction.
A woman, who has been identified by her Twitter handle @taralwazi, took to the social media platform on Tuesday to share a video.
The video showed a bus driver texting on his cellphone while he was busy driving, Briefly.co.za learned.
"So I am in a Gautrain bus. @TheGautrain and this driver is risking our lives..I don’t know how many times I had to hold on because his phone is more important," she captioned the post.
Gautrain has since responded to @taralwazi's post, apologising for the driver's behaviour and added they will investigate the incident.
The video gathered over 18 000 views in less than a day and social media users were quick to voice their opinions.
Some slammed the driver for his actions while other said the woman just cost him his job and the situation could have been handled differently.
Twitter user @MrG_T commented: "Slap that device out their hand at the next stop. What Is This Nonsense."
Another tweep, @Maswanganye, added: "This irresponsible act must be brought to the attention of the likes of @MbalulaFikile. We are talking about lives here. This bus driver should know better. You do not drive and text. It will take a split second to cause an unnecessary accident. @Abramjee see this."
