A 27-year-old man has to start his life from scratch after his house burned down - leaving his young family with no home, no food and no clothes.
A house is more than just a structure - it is a place where you spend time with your family and build forever memories. So, watching as your life goes up in flames is heartbreaking.
A young family has to start over after their house burnt down. Hussein Banda, 27, called on South Africans to help rebuild his life.
Banda is a husband and father of a 14-month-old baby. Briefly.co.za gathered the family lost everything in a fire accidentally started by one of his room-mates.
His household items, clothing, and all the equipment he saved up to buy were all destroyed in the fire. On top of that, Banda and his family have nowhere else to go.
"I also currently have no place to stay," he said.
In an attempt to rebuild their lives, Banda started a crowdfunding campaign, aiming to raise R50 000 to start over.
The money raised in the crowdfunding campaign will be used to replace everyday items they used in the house as well as clothes for the entire family. Thus far, Mzansi managed to raise just over R6v000 of the target but the donations are still coming in.
