On Wednesday, a man, who was simply identified by his Twitter handle @ja6u1ani, took to the social media platform to share a hilarious post.

He revealed he made a wager with his friend, John - if he manages to pick up one of @ja6u1ani's ex-girlfriends, he'll win R500.

John accepted the challenge and quickly started messaging @ja6u1ani's exes - using the most cheesy pick-up lines ever.

Not only did John not manage to pick up one of the ladies, screenshots of his failed attempts were posted on @ja6u1ani's Twitter page.

Social media users were in stitches over the posts and some even felt bad for poor John.

Twitter user, @Thami37, commented: "Lol you and these weird Tswana people. Still crying over the pregnant dog one."
Kabelo, who goes by the Twitter handle‏ @Diseveneng, added: "Homie gotta stop with them pick up lines man."
Another tweep, @lethabo_d_snoop, wrote: "Mxm, this guy is useless."

Meanwhile, Briefly.co.za previously reported on another man who sparked quite the reaction. However, he went viral for all the wrong reasons.

The man, who was simply identified by his Twitter handle @uber_that, claimed his girlfriend nearly burnt down his house after she failed to boil eggs.

He added that he can't marry someone who "successfully burn boiled eggs".
