DJ Zinhle not only announced the warning on Twitter but also admitted that the academy has been closed temporarily. But it seems the fraudsters had already capitalised on this and started offering people fake enrolment to the now non-existent academy and seems to be doing so by operating from a realistic-looking email address.

According to ZAlebs, there is a Facebook page claiming to belong to the Fuse Academy, which has been accepting and advertising enrolments from as recently as May. It also has a suspicious-looking phone number to dial for enquiries.

The Facebook page raised further suspicion when it had updated its profile picture a few days ago, without giving any notification of the temporary closure that DJ Zinhle announced. See a screenshot from the Facebook page below:

Scammers are working overtime as two weeks ago, Connie Ferguson had to warn her own fans from falling for a gimmick that was using her name to lure people to a fake internship.
