Flex Rabanyan, local musician and winner of the second season of Vuzu's rap reality show, The Hustle, has ruffled quite a number of feathers with his comment on 'coming out' as a gay person.

June was Gay Pride Month but it seems there are still a lot of mixed feelings on the matter of loving someone of the same sex.

According to Flex, there is nothing to respect about 'coming out' - and this opinion was not appreciated at all.

Taking to Twitter, Flex shared his opinion:

ZAlebs reported that he was called to order by other tweeps who did not approve of what he had to say.

The general opinion is that Flex is insensitive to the struggles that gay people face - in South Africa as well as the rest of the world.

It is reported that in Mzansi, homosexuals are sometimes sexually abused until they are 'fixed'.
