Mzansi muso, Kwesta, who is one of the biggest artists in the country at the moment, has decided to retire from performing at clubs from the end of July.
Kwesta took to social media’s Twitter on Friday morning to announce that he is calling it quits on his club life career.
The rapper shocked fans when he said he is ending his club gig performances this month. But did not give any reasons as to why he made this decision.
In a short and to-the-point tweet, Kwesta wrote: “Ending my club gig career this July.”

Kwesta’s announcement, which was few days after comedian Tol Ass Mo called time it quits on his stand-up comedy career, shook the Internet and was met with hundreds of comments.
Some of his fans suggested that the rapper was just taking a time-out to be with his family.
One Twitter user named Mukivhedegrt1 said: “You will be back. I give it a year or two. Enjoy the honeymoon phase bro. Can’t wait to welcome you back.”
But other tweeps suggested he was focusing on “big things”.
“A shark can’t be swimming with lil fishes… I feel you boy.. you have international written all over you,” wrote Kabelo Matlejoan.
Others were heartbroken by the news and tried to convince the rapper to change his decision.
You betraying us now. Sisuka kude nawe,” Jayden Nyathi wrote.
There were other memes and comments which showed the division of people's comments and thoughts on the matter.
Meanwhile, a month ago, Briefly.co.za reported that Mzansi rapper, Kwesta, took to social media to celebrate another milestone in his music career.
According to SA Hip Hop magazine, the music video caught the attention of music lovers as it showcased the day of the rapper’s wedding to Yolanda. While the video may have broken the hearts of many women crushing on the rapper, a large number of others loved every moment of it.
Kwesta took to Twitter to say it has been a little over three weeks since the release of the music video and it has 1.5 million views on YouTube.
