AKA got criticised by a social media user for not wishing his daughter, Kairo, a happy birthday online. The rapper gave a short but spicy reply, saying he spent his day with his daughter, not tweeps.
Little Kairo, who is the daughter of music stars, AKA and DJ Zinhle, celebrated her fourth birthday on Monday, July 8, and it was a big day for her and her close ones.
However, the family's many fans celebrated with them - in spirit, since they couldn't physically be there.
One social media user criticised AKA for not wishing Kairo a happy birthday on social media, and the rapper quickly shut the tweep down.
Responding to the criticism, AKA said:
"I decided to share her birthday with her, instead of with you."
The rapper's response was so spicy that the original tweet was deleted. However, Briefly.co.za found it:
AKA's fans said that just because he didn't share a post or tweet doesn't mean he didn't want his daughter to have a great day.
@honourable_ndix - And that is the best way to do things. Not everything should be posted on social media, some moments deserve to be treasured privately
@NoemiaM3 - Why do people have this idea that “if it’s not on social media, it didn’t happen”? Sometimes the things not posted are more genuine than those posted...
@itsevan1602 - People need to relax. Yhu hai. The guy is her father. Why does he need to wish her Happy Birthday on twitter?? Come on people. Use common sense
