Zodwa Wabantu is once again in the firing line. There have been pased comments made with regard to her revealing outfits, sensual dance moves and, now, the most recent is what she has said about gay people. She has had no option but to come out and defend herself. This is not the only issue Zodwa is having to deal with. Her parenting skills have been questioned and she is not going to take that lying down.

There were numerous comments on Zodwa’s Instagram page after her many Vodacom Durban July posts. One in particular described Zodwa’s behaviour and the type of role model she is portraying for her teenage son as disgusting.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Zodwa said that she does not understand how she can be told how to mother her son. She feels that it is ridiculous and if the follower are serious then he should adopt her son and see if he will be able to do a better job than she does.

Zodwa went on to say that her son is happy and is well taken care of and in her mind that’s all that matters.

After Zodwa had pulled a strip of the follower she then made the suggestion that should he apply to adopt her son, he can then tell welfare where exactly she is lacking as a parent.

With receiving comments all the time, Zodwa said that those using social media are not consistent and for that reason it wastes her time taking offence to any of it. It was only last week that she was praised for her heart-to-heart talk with her son where she advised him to stay in school and succeed in life.

Zodwa commented that she makes it quite clear to her son that he is not to take note of what people say about her. His only focus must be on his school work. She said that even if further down the road her son does need to use what he learnt at school, he must have that education to fall on.
