Veteran actress, Nomhle Nkonyeni, passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, 10 July, and while South Africa mourns her loss, she leaves behind many fond memories.

Mzansi has been flooding social media with tributes to a woman who holds a special place in their hearts, as reported on by Briefly.co.za.

Everyone, from Mmusi Maimane to the EFF, has shared their sadness at hearing the news.

Several of the actors who got to work with MamNomhle have remembered what an impact she had on their lives.

As reported by Youth Village, MamNomhle played the role of vicious Lulama Langa on Scandal!, and her co-stars took a moment to express their feelings about losing her:

Kgomotso Christopher is better known as Scandal!'s Yvonne and she feels that MamNohmhle was one of SA's finest actresses.

Sivenathi Mabuya plays Xolile on the show and has many fond memories of the late actress.

Lusanda Mbane plays the role of Boniswa and said it was an honour to act beside MamNohmle.
