- On its website, Californian based weed company, Caliva, announced a partnership with Jay Z
Jay Z can now add another business venture to his CV. A couple of years ago, the rapper bought out Armand De Brignac "Ace of Spades" Champagne.
Now, he has added cannabis to his list of ventures. Caliva, a marijuana company based in California, announced the joint partnership on its website.
"Anything I do, I want to do correctly and at the highest level," Jay Z said in a statement posted on Caliva's website.
The rapper added that he saw the potential in the cannabis industry, and decided Caliva's expertise and ethos made them the ideal partners for the endeavour.
Briefly.co.za learned Jay Z added they wanted to have fun creating something amazing. Beyonce's hubby will act as the chief strategist for the company.
According to a report by eNCA, he will be tasked with helping the company with its creative decisions and outreach efforts.
Jay Z will also be part of the strategic planning for the brand.
"Together, we hope to shape the conversation surrounding cannabis, foster equality and fairness in the development of the industry, promote awareness for the many uses and benefits of cannabis and empower consumers to feel free to use cannabis how, when, and where they want," Caliva said in a statement.
