Leader of the Democratic Alliance, Mmusi Maimane, shared a social media post, which highlighted the plight of a woman who lost her baby.

The post was in response to a news report highlighting that the loss of life was allegedly due to poor service delivery.

It was reported that a sewerage spill resulted in the unfortunate incident and Maimane pointed out that the municipality is run by the African National Congress.

Maimane’s caption concludes by saying, “It is both sad and angering. Regardless of politics we need to focus local gov on delivery. It’s why I work hard to ensure DA gov does.”
