Babes Wodumo has dropped the assault charges against Mampintsha and he is now off the hook for the assault that shook Mzansi. This comes after both parties adhered to an ADR (mediation) process.
After months of drama and scandal surrounding a video that showed the abuse of Gqom singer, Bongekile "Babes Wodumo" Simelane, it seems the matter has come to an anticlimactic end.
The video showed Mandla "Mampintsha" Maphumulo getting physical with Babes, and upset almost all of Mzansi.
However, Babes has decided to withdraw the charge of assault against Mampinthsa, as reported by News24.
The National Prosecuting Authority confirmed that the case has been dropped.
"The matter was finalised in that the charge against Maphumulo was withdrawn. This is because both parties adhered to the ADR (mediation) process they committed to."
This comes shortly after a warrant of arrest was issued for the couple on Tuesday, 9 July, after they failed to appear in court.
This news is not likely to be taken well by the general public, who have already shown disapproval of Babes wishing Mampintsha a happy birthday.
Briefly.co.za reported that there was unhappiness with Babes and Mampinhsa's #BonnieAndClyde tour.
