International Relations Minister Naledi Pandor says that the president should consider recalling Bruce Koloane from his position as ambassador to the Netherlands.
Briefly.co.za reported that Koloane had admitted to putting pressure on officials to allow for the Gupta family to use the Waterkloof Air Force Base to shuttle guests to their Sun City wedding.
Pandor told Eusebius McKaiser this morning that she will be discussing the ambassador's deployment with Ramaphosa soon:
“It would be good in South Africa if we developed the practice of when we’ve errored in that way that has brought our country into disrepute and ourselves as individuals, that we actually stand up and stand aside.”
Koloane admitted to using the names of prominent politicians, including former president Jacob Zuma, to push for the Gupta family to land at the restricted base, reports EWN.
