- A woman took to social media to throw shade at the South African Police Minister
- The lady, who has been identified as Leila Dougan, shared a photo of Bheki Cele stocking up on muffins at Woolies as the army scours the Cape Flats
- However, social media users defended Bheki, adding a man has got to eat
On Friday, social media user Leila Dougan took to social media to throw shade at Police Mnister Bheki Cele, who was photographed buying muffins at Woolworths while the troops were deployed to the Cape Flats.
"In between deploying the #SANDF to gang-ridden areas in the cape flats, police minister #BhekiCele stocks up on carrot muffins at Woolies. This country guys!!" Dougan captioned the photo.
Briefly.co.za gathered South Africans defended Cele, seeing nothing wrong with the minister buying something to eat.
Malaika Neoetsile, who goes by the Twitter handle @MNeoetsile, commented: "He can't go to Woolworths and get something to eat?"
Letlhogonolo Nkoana, @Lee_Jintau, added: "And your point is???? He did send the relevant people to deal with the issue. A man can't eat because of #CapeFlats??"
