Jacob Zuma says that he is relieved his son has been acquitted of all charges facing him. A Randburg magistrate found Duduzane Zuma not guilty of culpable homicide and negligent driving.
Ex-president Jacob Zuma is naturally relieved that his son has been let off the hook in his culpable homicide trial.
The politician had constantly been at his son's side throughout the trial, which has been ongoing since 2014, when the fatal crash took place.
Speaking after the ruling was handed down, Zuma explained that he was satisfied his son had been cleared of having acted in a negligent manner.
Briefly.co.za had reported that Magistrate Tebogo Thupatlase had found the State had failed to prove, beyond reasonable doubt, that Duduzane had been responsible for the incident.
The judge had discredited evidence and testimonies presented by State prosecutors, who had claimed Duduzane had acted negligently on the night of the crash, reports EWN.
While Duduzane himself declined to comment, his father told media representatives that he was relieved the matter was over and done with.
