Heavy K confronts man for illegal remix and gets dragged for it

House DJ, Heavy K, confronted a man on social media for remixing his track 'Easy to Love', and received some heat from tweeps. They wanted to know if he had permission for a track that he previously remixed.

Being a DJ many times means remixing music made by other musicians, and this can sometimes lead to issues regarding copyright.

In general, it's alright to use other artists' music in a remix, as long as you make no profit from it. If you want to, you need the original artist's permission.

DJ Heavy K wasn't impressed when a local aspiring DJ remixed his track, Easy to Love, without permission and confronted the person on Twitter.

However, social media users were quick to ask Heavy K if he asked Rihanna for permission to remix her song, Where Have You Been.

The DJ said she should have taken it up with him if she had a problem with it.
