- EFF Deputy President, Floyd Shivambu, has lashed out at Minister in the Presidency, Jackson Mthembu, following Mthembu’s criticism of the EFF in a rant on social media
- Shivambu accused Mthembu of not having “overcome” his “alcohol problems”
- This spat follows the recent expulsion of the EFF from parliament, after the party refused to let Public Enterprises Minister, Pravin Gordhan, speak
Things have heated up on social media between Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) Deputy President, Floyd Shivambu, and Minister in the Presidency, Jackson Mthembu, after an incident where the EFF were expelled from parliament for an outburst.
In the outburst, the red berets attempted to stop Minister of Public Enterprises, Pravin Gordhan, from speaking, The Citizen reported.
Mthembu subsequently took to Twitter to complain about the EFF’s actions, calling the party “rude” and “political thugs”.
Shivambu has now hit back at Mthembu’s comments, and has used the Minister in the Presidency’s past struggle with alcoholism as a way to get back at him.
The EFF Deputy President partially put down Mthembu’s rant to him not having “overcome” his “alcohol problems” and proceeded to call Gordhan a “delinquent” who “deserves no respect”.
Briefly.co.za gleaned that Shivambu also accused Mthembu of attacking former SA President, Jacob Zuma, in the same way as he did the EFF recently.
