From village boy to talented artist: Man gets Oskido's attention

At the age of 31, Dzulani Trevor Sidogi is a talent that is yet to be discovered. Sidogi often posts snaps of his creative designs on Twitter and they have caught the attention of some of Mzansi's major celebs.

On Monday, Sidogi, who creates small scale replicas of soccer stadiums using cardboard boxes and plastic, revealed he dreams of visiting the Durban Moses Mabhida Stadium.

His request was heard by DJ Oskido, who offered to make it a reality. Briefly.co.za reached out to the talented man and spoke to him about his dreams, upbringing and DJ Oskido.

"I have never been in Durban because of my poor background... So I was just trying to DM Oskido hoping he will answer, lucky he replied back... I am so happy because this will also show out my talent the whole South Africa," he told us on Twitter.

Sidogi revealed his love for the Durban soccer stadium motivated him to build a replicas of soccer stadiums.

"I love the Moses Mabhida Stadium because of the 2010 FIFA World Cup...That is why I'm trying to show my talent through small stadiums," he explained.

Sidogi revealed he grew up poor in Tshitereke village with his mother and younger brothers. The talented 31-year-old revealed their circumstances are still not great and he's the only one with an income in the household.

Because of his background, Sidogi could not study art or architecture and everything he does is self-taught. However, he hopes his talent will change his life.

Sidogi has been doing art for two decades now, picking up the passion at the age of 11. He used his love for art and skills as a builder to create architectural models.

"I love designing models of the houses it gives me courage that on other good days I'll build my own beautiful house," he said.

Although Sidogi is not famous yet, his social media posts already started attracting notable people.

The soccer lover, who supports the Black Leopards and Orlando Pirates, is set to achieve great things and we can't wait to witness greatness.
