Nelson and Winnie's daughter, Zindzi has reiterated that not everything is shared in the media. Many people believe that just because her parents were divorced, they were not that close. Nelson Mandela had remarried, but he and his former wife, the late Winnie Madikizela-Mandela, still shared a special bond.
Zindzi was replying to a social media user when he wrote: “If CODESA meant divorcing mam’Winnie to Mandela, I hope he made peace before his death. What a loss money can’t buy.”
Zindzi wrote: “When Tata took his last breath, Mama was holding his hand. A fact that the media will not share with the public.”
