Many a story has been publicised giving the impression that the industry for the creative arts is not a friendly environment to be in. Linda Sibiya could just have confirmed this.

The former Ukhozi FM host is an award-winning South African radio DJ, entrepreneur and radio/television producer.

Briefly.co.za learnt that Linda, a South African retired radio DJ, has found himself in a situation where he has allegedly been accused of fraud for a large amount of money.

The news broke on Phil Mphela’s Twitter timeline. The South African’s popular entertainment commentator posted that Linda had been awarded monies to develop his arts academy and the implementation of a gospel concert, Spirit of Praise.

The accusation that is being made is that Linda was awarded R12,5 million. This amount was only a part of R100 million worth of funding. As far as the concert is concerned, this was never executed.

The post indicated that Linda had given a reason for the concert not coming together. Linda apparently said that because his partner was no longer alive, this made it impossible to gain access to the funds.

A staggering amount of R8,5 million was allegedly received by Linda himself in May this year. These funds were for his arts academy.
