On Sunday, the Springville Police Department (SVPD) took to social media to share how a young witness helped them track down thieves.
The department posted two photos on its Facebook page - one showing the thugs' red bakkie and the other is the little girl's drawing.
Briefly.co.za gathered a SVPD officer, Cpl. Curtis, was investigating a package theft when he decided to ask the nine-year-old witness' description of the thieves' vehicle.
The little girl drew a picture of the thieves' red bakkie and it helped the cops identify them.
"The truck in the picture is occupied by a man and woman and were seen following a mail truck around," the post read.
The post sparked quite the reaction and social media users applauded the young girl.
MJ Jones commented: "That little girl has a very bright future. She even drew the rails attached to the bed of the truck. Awesome!"
Cindy Garrett said: "Awesome memory. Great picture."
Bridget Sanchez added: "That witness is awesome! Love a person who is willing to help and that is a great drawing—way to go witness!!!"
