A social media follower was blown away with a kind gesture from DJ Fresh after a brief exchange of messages on Twitter.
DJ Fresh has never failed to surprise his followers, proving that a kind gesture can go a long way in changing a person’s life.
The radio personality, who was recently dismissed by SABC’s Metro FM, was joking about being unemployed and how people were putting money into his DJ box at a weekend gig on Twitter. But even though he was joking, there was a few people who commented on his posts who were actually unemployed too, and part person in particular caught the DJ’s attention.
According to TshisaLive, Fresh tweeted about how people kept throwing bills at him during a set at the weekend and joked that it may have had something to do with his “unemployed” status.
“Some fellas from Gabon kept throwing 200 notes into the DJ box during my set! Got four of these in Namibia last night. Either I was on fire or unemployment was written all over my face,” he said.
One social media user, who’s name is Thandeka, commented under his tweet, asking if DJ Fresh could share some of those notes [money] with her since she was also unemployed. Fresh asked her to DM her numbers and he would transfer the money to her.
Thandeka later shared a screenshot of her ban notification that showed that DJ Fresh has sent her R1500.
She tweeted: “What is given to the poor is loaned to the Lord and there will be great rewards for it. DJ Fresh, my words can never match my gratitude. Thank you so much.”
Someone took a screenshot of DJ Fresh’s kind Twitter gesture and posted it to Facebook which has now gone viral.
Yesterday, Briefly.co.za reported that it was clear to see that DJ Fresh ain’t sweating one 'lil thing after being fired from Metro FM. Mzansi’s Big Dawg is living his best life!
DJ Fresh recently got fired from Metro FM by the SABC for using foul language on air. While the SABC feels it did the right thing by terminating Fresh’s contract, the people of Mzansi feel they made a big mistake.
Briefly.co.za reported on DJ Fresh’s final statement in which he assured his fans that he is A-okay and ready for a new adventure. Being fired really has been no skin off Fresh’s nose.
Fresh is a household name, a radio veteran, an Mzansi fave. If Metro FM or the SABC thought that firing Fresh would dull his sparkle, they were wrong.
