A video has emerged showing what appears to be a taxi driver slapping a man outside a taxi. The footage has split Mzansi opinions with some finding the incident funny and others distasteful.

Twitter user KunjaloD shared the video on the social media network with the caption:

"#Mpamation. The lowest form of an act of disrespect by one man on another. It is usually accompanied by a clap sound on the victim’s cheek and elements of dizziness by the victim."

Twitter user Glendlamini was not amused by the caption or video, he condemned the violence and said it was not helpful. However, IfundzaV argued that it is a way to discipline people.

Zibundile jokingly quoted a famous song about slaps, known as 'Chesa Mpama'

MondliXL said:

"He got him good too."

While another Twitter user Sikamarayzo was less than amused, saying:

"No need for all of this including this post."
