The news of her launch was uplifting for her fans, especially to see her smiling after the tragic loss of her husband, Peter Sebotsa just over three weeks ago. Okmzansi quoted Sowetan in saying that Thembsie was asleep when her husband fell into their pool at home and drowned.

She told the publication: “I got a fright of my life. Then I saw his body lying face down on the floor of the pool. It was an excruciatingly painful experience to see your husband lying dead in his own pool.”
