- AKA took to Twitter to defend fellow rapper, Emtee, from being hounded on social media
- The Supa Mega tweeted that people should start treating Emtee like a grown-up
- Most fans were astounded by AKA's tweet and for some it hit home
Mzansi rapper, AKA, came to Emtee’s aid on Wednesday when what was supposed to be an innocent Q&A session between fans and Emtee turned into a trap for insulting questions. AKA stood up in Emtee’s defence.
This isn’t the first time that Emtee has held a Q&A session with his fans on different social media platforms. TshisaLive reported that Emtee usually does this to allow the opportunity for his real fans to hear his thoughts on whatever they wanted to know about him.
However, on Wednesday, the Q&A turned into a mocking session, which led to the rapper announcing a break from Twitter until further notice.
“I’m dropping a song in a week or 2. Not tweeting till then. Peace,” tweeted Emtee.
AKA and Emtee have always shared a solid friendship. Emtee has mentioned several times in the past that he looks up to the Fela in Versace hitmaker.
AKA was frequently tagged in the tweets and when he realised that people kept asking Emtee if he would agree to be signed under AKA, SupaMega felt the need to stand up and say something.
The Touch My Blood musician slammed tweeps for treating Emtee like a child who is incapable of making his own decisions.
AKA tweeted: “Y’all need to stop treating this man with kids like he’s a child. Enough.”
It looks like AKA’s tweet hit a nerve, because tweeps then stated calling each other out for being mean to Emtee.
Earlier today, Briefly.co.za reported that Mzansi’s Supa Mega’s social media cravings were too strong, the man is back! AKA cares what his followers think, the water diet has officially been terminated.
AKA went on a short social media detox after his lengthy commitment to the drama and it’s on-goings, however, he is now back. Briefly.co.za knows how fans missed AKA and his ratchet opinions on social media. A few days of him being gone and they thought their Supa Mega had been abducted.
On Thursday morning, AKA took to social media to regain his crown and let his followers know that he is back. Shame, AKA missed his peeps. AKA let his people know that he is back and that he cares what they think, but that he also needs to focus on his hustle.
