It was a gathering like no other. The local premiere of The Lion King saw famous faces and fans pulling out all the stops on Thursday night.
The long awaited remake of The Lion King will only be officially released on Friday. The movie stars Donald Glover as Simba with Beyoncé as Nala. John Kani features as Rafiki and as previously, Earl Jones is back as the voice of Mufasa.
Briefly.co.za learnt that the atmosphere was electric with amazing visuals of all the African-inspired outfits.
The red carpet was filled with the likes of John Kani and his wife and Lebo M in toe with is family all portray the superstars they are.
The whole of South Africa is extremely proud of the representation it has in the film. There is so much excitement in the air with Beyoncé's curated album, The Gift, featuring our very own Moonchild Sanelly and Busiswa!
