- A social media user used the popular FaceApp on Julius Malema
- He took to Twitter to post a photo of the 'old' EFF member and Nelson Mandela
- The photos showed the modified pic of Juju making him look a lot like the late Father of the Nation
South Africans decided to use the FaceApp - a mobile app that can age photos of people - on EFF leader Julius Malema.
On Wednesday, social media user @Sentletse shared a photo of an 'old' Malema and pointed out he resembled Nelson Mandela.
"This App" - he simply captioned the two photos.
The photo had Mzansi in stitches and South Africans quickly renamed Juju to "uTata Malema". However, not everyone agreed that Malema looked like Madiba.
Twitter user, @D_Incorporated, commented: "This EFF pic should be used on the ballot paper guys... think about... we could triple our membership..."
Thabang Makhetha, who goes by the Twitter handle @ThaCido88, added: "He looks like tata serious. I suspect this Russian app is a spy."
Previously, Briefly.co.za reported that the popular FaceApp caught the attention of Mzansi's celebs.
Taking to social media, some of SA's most famous people shared their own FaceApp photos and it was hilarious.
